Toni Edwards, Veterinary Assistant

Toni EdwardsToni Edwards is a Veterinary Assistant who has been with Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital since February of 2004.

"I like working at this veterinary hospital because it is a small practice that is very friendly and the clients are wonderful, caring pet owners," she says.

At home, Toni has a toy poodle named Haley and a wolf mix named Bones. Her interests include baking and cooking, fishing, Nascar races, attending her kids' sporting events, and spending time with her family.

Norma Rogers, Veterinary Technician

Norma RogersVeterinary Technician Norma Rogers says that our clients and their pets are very special and that she enjoys the many bonds she has been able to form over her many years at our animal hospital. She joined the Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital team in December of 1995, but began her career in animal care in 1986. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mt. Olive College and an Associate's degree in Animal Science from Central Carolina Community College.

At home, Norma has a quarter horse named Harley, a rabbit named Snow and four cats named Phill, Casey, Wrangler, and Tater. She enjoys water sports, boating, horseback riding, scrapbooking and jewelry making.

Sarah Wolfe, Receptionist/Assistant

Sarah WolfeReceptionist Sarah Wolfe joined Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital in June of 2013 and brings her gift for organization and time management.

She especially enjoys all of the cute pets that come into the hospital along with its friendly, calm environment; she appreciates the ease of connecting and forming new friendships here.

She has one cat of her own—a domestic short hair named Esme who is just a year old. In her free time, she enjoys bowling, baking, texting, swimming, and tanning.

Terri Wolfe, Office Manager

Terri WolfeOffice Manager Terri Wolfe has been with Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital since August of 2011, but began working in the companion animal field in 2001.

She brings a wealth of experience and a sense of humor to her work, and says, "I really like the down-to-earth, positive atmosphere here."

Terri's interests include cooking, baking, reading and gardening.

Heather Helton, Receptionist

Heather HeltonHeather Helton joined the staff at Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital in December 2015. As a receptionist, she’s responsible for greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking clients in and out. Heather is honest and determined, and her favorite part of the job is interacting with the hospital’s clients and their pets. She also holds an Associate degree in Medical Office Administration from Johnson Community College.

“I’ve always had a love for animals and I enjoy observing and learning from my coworkers,” Heather says.

At home, Heather has a 2-year-old Chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix named Bella and a 1-year-old mix breed dog named Rascal. She enjoys baking, thrift store shopping, spending time with her husband and children and playing with her dogs.

Beth Schexnayder, Kennel Manager/Assisant

Beth SchexnayderKennel Manager and Veterinary Assistant Beth Schexnayder has been full-time team member since July 2017 and has over 10 years experience in the animal field. Beth’s responsibilities involve managing kennel operations and staff, caring for boarding animals, and assisting doctors with appointments. Her favorite part of the job is helping the animals that come into our facility be happy and healthy.

With a strong work ethic and a willingness to help team members succeed, Beth makes sure our hospital standards are as high as can be. Beth earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Louisiana State University where she also minored in Business Administration.

When asked about working for Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital, Beth says, “I enjoy the atmosphere and the time and care put into helping and keeping pets healthy.”

In her spare time, Beth likes to read, crochet, work out, cook, bake and cuddle with her dogs, Luna and Sandy.

Sara Nelson, Assistant/Kennel Staff

Sara NelsonSara Nelson is a Veterinary Assistant and kennel staff member here at Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital that joined our team in December of 2017. Some of her daily responsibilities include helping with appointments, gathering patient information, keeping our facilities clean, and taking care of animals that are being boarded. The favorite aspect of her position here is getting to look at the diagnostics and interacting with our wonderful patients and clients.

As someone with a positive attitude who is always aspiring to learn new things, Sara knows Goldsboro is a great place to learn. “Everyone here is willing to teach me new things and help me learn,” Sara says. “There’s definitely a great bond between all the staff.”

In her spare time, Sara likes to spend time with her family and loved ones. She also enjoys hiking and shopping for her son. At home, Sara owns a Boxer mix named Millie, and a Pekingese mix named Roscoe.

Amanda Herring, Receptionist

Amanda HerringReceptionist Amanda Herring has been working for Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital since September of 2017, helping to ensure the highest standards of client care. Some of Amanda’s daily responsibilities include greeting people and their pets, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, preparing paperwork, and checking our clients and patients in and out of our facility.

“I love greeting and talking to all of our clients and learning about their pets,” Amanda says. “I also enjoy seeing all the puppies and kittens. The entire staff works really hard to make sure clients and patients are well taken care of. Their hard work really shows. I also love that we can all get along, which makes work fun!”

In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs. Lucy is their Beagle mix, and Staley is their German Shepherd/Husky mix. Amanda also enjoys catching up on her favorite tv shows with her husband, going to the movies, playing video games, shopping, and going out to eat.

Veronica Hawes, Kennel Assistant

Veronica Hawes joined the Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital staff in October of 2017 working part-time as one of our outstanding kennel assistants. Maintaining cleanliness in our kennels, feeding, walking, and bathing our boarding patients is a part of Veronica’s daily responsibilities. She also helps to make sure our patients that board get their medicine as needed, and occasionally helps assist in the hospital.

When asked about working for us here at Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital, Veronica says, “They are very willing to work with me and show me as much as they can. I also get along well with everyone I feel, and the experience is helping me understand a lot about the veterinary world and how to help animals in need.”

Veronica has 2 dogs and 2 cats whom she loves dearly. She has enjoys training her dogs to do tricks and even sing. Away from the hospital, Veronica likes to spend her free time outdoors, especially in the woods. She loves to go fishing, doing crafts, and listening to music.
